Roots

“A story of roots…”

Photo by Łukasz Maźnica on Unsplash

Root that you spread
For land
Inland and on the sides.

You cover as much as you can
To hold you
To make sense of you
To grow
To keep you standing.

Plants and trees
They know the roots well
Like men.
